We build a hope that belongs not only to the Fraternity, but to all humanity. We must strive for the completion of a spiritual temple, strong enough to overcome whatever problems the future may bring. Freemasonry’s spiritual temple is the moral and spiritual growth of the individual. To build a better and finer world according to God’s plan is a task which is our duty. The design for a spiritual temple built of strong and good men starts not with the state, not with the lodge, but with you, the individual. You, the individual Mason, must first come to believe in Freemasonry’s purpose and then equip yourself for this duty. We cannot merely belong in Masonry; we are committed by our vows to labor on that temple. Are we men enough to be Mason? Masonry and humanity await our answers and our deeds. As there will be no Communications held during July and August, it would by pleasing to your officers to have as large an attendance as possible this month. To those who, by reason, have been unable to attend so far this year, I earnestly request to make a special effort to be present. It will make you feel better and gratify your officers who are doing good work. The receiving of degrees does not make a Mason. The various degrees are sublime and elevating to the mind, but are only passports to the great Temple of Truth. What we need is a more intelligent interest in the generous principles of our noble Order. Fraternally yours, Henry J. Rahn, Jr., MEHP A quarterly Convocation of the Grand Chapter RAM will be on August 20, 2011, at Central Valley of NJ, AASR, 103 Dunns Mill Rd, Bordentown, NJ. Grand Chapter will start a 9AM Sharp.
